Tennis Lessons
Please welcome our new Head Pro Jason Wright.
Jason has had numerous years of experience teaching tennis.
He comes to us after three and one-half years of teaching
at Churchville Tennis. Prior to Churchville, Jason was the
former Assistant at Perring Athletic Club, the Head Pro
for the Aberdeen Boys & Girls Club tennis program, and the
Head Pro for the Baltimore Tennis Patrons.
Jason is a former two time Regional High School Champion,
where he was 5th in the state in the Boy’s 18's, and 8th
in the state in the Men’s Open division. He is a graduate
of both Fallston High School and the University of Maryland
College Park.
In addition to offering private lessons, Jason will be
heading up several new Tennis Programs here at Valleybrook.

US Open Bus Trip
Here’s your chance to see some very exciting
tennis! Tom and Cheryl King will be arranging the
annual bus trip to the US Open. The trip includes
bus transportation, lodging, and tickets to 2 day sessions
at the US Open. Thursday evening you are free to make
your own plans. For more information, call Tom King

limited, so hurry! This fun annual trip is already
selling out quickly!
QuickStart 6-Week Program
QuickStart Tennis is an exciting new play format for
learning tennis, designed to bring kids into the game by
utilizing specialized equipment, shorter court dimensions
and modified scoring, all tailored to age and size. It is
divided into two different levels-- ages 8 and under and
ages 9 and above. Sign up for one night or two, for the
course of 6 weeks. The USTA QuickStart Tennis format works
by getting kids into the game immediately. Within the first
hour of stepping onto the court, they are actually playing
the game, rallying with one another, moving around and having
fun. Scaling the game down to their size helps make the
learning process easier and a lot more fun.

fun way to get kids into tennis-- and keep them playing.

Developmental Program
The Developmental Tennis Program is for the player who
wants to maximize their potential. Emphasis is on drills,
practice, and match play. This program is offered Monday
through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
Weekly sessions are available from June 14 through Aug
2.
The cost of the program is $185 per week ($170 for Valleybrook
Members.)

Memorial Day Free Kids Clinic
Calling all kids, ages 5 - 12! All levels are welcome
to attend this FREE clinic from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. All
that’s necessary is a racquet and tennis shoes, and a readiness
to learn. The first seven kids to arrive at Court #3 get
a free t-shirt! All kids will receive a free gift just for
participating.
High School and Tournament Program
The High School and Tournament Program is an advanced
program for the serious player. It’s emphasis is on improving
competition and match play through fine tuning strokes,
improving footwork, and learning winning strategies and
tactics.
This program is offered Monday through Friday, from 3:00
p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The cost of the program is $130 per week ($120 for Valleybrook
Members.)

Social Leagues
Men's Tuesday/Thursday
League
Meet at Court #6 at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday
nights. Everyone plays. Enjoy a little social
time afterward.
Interclub Leagues
Ladies' Wednesday
Morning League
Play begins in June and runs thru mid-August.

Night League
Play begins in May and runs through the end of
July. Matches are played Thursday evenings at 6:00
p.m. New players are welcome. Can’t commit to every
week? Substitute players are always needed.
